loving the texture...

fab entery for the contest... i love how you got the cloth texture nearly everywhere... i really think it looks cute but with all the gear makes it badass... the thing that puts me off is the eyes... everywhere else is detailed and textured... but the eyes just seem rather bland... try adding some sort of highlights to it to make them look like buttons or something along the lines of that... apart from that... fab!

3D-xelu responds:

good idea but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to edit the entry.. and if i am... i'm too lazy to do it XD

i wanted the eyes to be cartoony... if they looked realistic they mights not... blend

trolling :3

great stuff jouste... loving your style... its great to see your art poping up now and again... and this is another quality work... i really like the green's in this picture... like the splashing/spray/fire at the bottom of the picture... and from its mouth... i really like the effect the simple layer of green tint over the rock has, as well as the red one on the club... if not dramaticly oversized :P... keep up the fab work, and looking forward to the next... 10/10 of course :3

jouste responds:

wow thatnks for the long review!

i shall totally get on my next project and i'm really happy you stopped by and dropped some comments on this one!

*highfives*

i do say good sir...

what fine artwork you have here... a most splended piece indeed, the face is fantastic... just one thing that bothers me... if his horn infront of his ear.... or his ear infront of his horn?!... *dramatic pause*

shebitmefirst responds:

horn in front of ear

reminds me of them old pictures...

the style is really sweet... very crisp and simple... but it looks a bit sloppy in other parts.. the clouds let it down a heap... and pods in the distance break up and look blob like... cool idea and style... but sadly let down in other places...

Dalenbourg responds:

good idea, poor execution... ok well im not very good with colouring yet so I'll keep this in mind while making new pictures! Thanks!

i dont get your artwork...

now... the background may have been put together by yourself but the images wasnt... i just wanted to know what you did... did you make the model from scratch?... was the textures you used your own?.... and why do you go for the cell shaded effect?... im just curious to know as i keep seeing your artwork in the portal but feel that it should belong in a personal art thread... so i would like to know :3

Which part you don't understand?

Fantastic christmas warmer

another fantastic picture from yourself... very cute and simple.... nice and clean...

just a few pointers for this one... it seems very side heavy.... and also her eyes are such a white shade of blue its very hard to see them clearly...

apart from that a cracking job!... merry Christmas!

BizarroJoe responds:

The trouble with the is more that the pupil is really small.
I changed the hue/saturation for this one, but I didn't wanted to alter the drawing itself. What I did a year ago, it stays like a year ago... I'm learning to live with my errors. It makes you learn better.
And for the side stuff... I kinda agree. Putting the text completely at the left side made it look a lot better, but... I really feel like a hypocrite making a widescreen wallpaper when I use a standard one! I think most of the people that will use it will actually crop the left part...
But maybe I should just erase the text!
What do you think, people? Do I just obliterate that text? Please tell me!
Now, thank you very much for your comment, Lego! Have a great night!

Wow...

Once again you blow me away with your flawless works of art... i love how you have put the gradient ovals for highlights and blush... great to see you trying different things with your style... top notch!... 10/10 again my friend :D

BizarroJoe responds:

The gradients were a last minute idea. I couldn't use that in Corel because the program is unable to export files properly when using those (Among other stuff, I'll never stop complaining about how their disastrous exporting capacities ruins much a really good program.), and besides, now that I was trying new stuff... Why not try gradients too? I managed the way to handle them and I hope I'll be able to get better use of them with time and experimentation.
Much appreciated your comment, Lego! So long!

Fantastic!

the amount of detail is mind blowing... im going to take it you used textures for the chair and wood effects?... i love how you paint your shiney areas so well... its really nice and well done... the linework is pritty flawless... just a few points...

the dragon looks like its glowing but theres no lighting on her face or hand...
the chair legs *the one at the back* isnt making any shadows onto the floor and looks like the whole image has just been dropped onto the background...
possibly dull down some of the items on the table... so they dont look so refined like you have donewith the books underneath...
it would have been nice if the picture in the fame was something you did... *i think you didnt anyway :3, could be wrong*
as always in your work there seems to be little hickups... but nothing that cant be fixed... a few more been the texture just peeps out of the linework behind the chair and possibly a few more shadows where required...

i really like the "mood" in this picture... the hue of the light is lovely...
another fantastic work!!!

Sabtastic responds:

Oh man. lol I'm definitely going to have to fix those little details at some point before I print this. D:

You've got a good eye for detail, man! Thanks for the critique!! :D
Will repost eventually.
