i do say good sir...
what fine artwork you have here... a most splended piece indeed, the face is fantastic... just one thing that bothers me... if his horn infront of his ear.... or his ear infront of his horn?!... *dramatic pause*

horn in front of ear
loving the colours...
more then anything in this picture... the colours and use of them work perfectly together.... the background is simple but very effective... and the linework is the same... the thing that really makes this is the bold and stunning effect you have gotten... a massive thumbs up for this piece... :D
athough i would have thought it wouldnt have highlights where her breasts part... :P
to add to what lux said...
might want to make the front leg a bit wider at the bottom and bring it forward a bit... similar to what you did with the spear... also add a touch more shading and fine details... and your away
reminds me of them old pictures...
the style is really sweet... very crisp and simple... but it looks a bit sloppy in other parts.. the clouds let it down a heap... and pods in the distance break up and look blob like... cool idea and style... but sadly let down in other places...
good idea, poor execution... ok well im not very good with colouring yet so I'll keep this in mind while making new pictures! Thanks!
i dont get your artwork...
now... the background may have been put together by yourself but the images wasnt... i just wanted to know what you did... did you make the model from scratch?... was the textures you used your own?.... and why do you go for the cell shaded effect?... im just curious to know as i keep seeing your artwork in the portal but feel that it should belong in a personal art thread... so i would like to know :3
Which part you don't understand?
love this picture...
the textured qualtity of it just finishes it off nicely... i love the linework, and i think you have captured the moment perfectly... i cant fault this as its lovely... 10/10
nothing wrong with the white/grey..
but i feel there has been a overuse in the smudge tool... i think you were going for a photo/ish picture but it doesnt work... smudging is ok with some of the hair... but using it for the whole thing just makes it seem washy and watery... the face doesnt seem to have any defined features... take just under her eye... the cheek area has a smudge going through it and breaks it up... thats just one of the areas which has been done incorectly... hopefully you can see the mistakes and either correct them or rememeber this for futures pieces... not bad... but it could have been alot better...
as a pratice...
very clean... and nice blend of colours... i like the shine effect of the hair... but make sure it goes OVER the black linework... you did it for the top two areas... but the parts lower down are underneath... keep that in mind... do the white highlighting on a new layer?... anway... i dont know what program it is but i really do like how the background looks like water colour brushstrokes... the skull seems a bit to grey... compaired to the whiteness of the highling on the hair.... it seems to disapear... also with the chopstick things... i dont know if they are golden or yellow... if they are gold... make sure they have a very harsh and bold change in colours... look at a few reference pictures of golden needles or something... getting the browns on the underside away from the light... overall a very nice and simple picture... and hopefully a few usefull pointers to help you in the right direction :D
