already checked it out, but i think i will pass, thanks...

As for the picture, sweet soul style going on here. i don't think the gum logo works like how you have outlined it, it looks "thin lined" compared to the rest of the picture which is constantly the same thickness (apart from the arms)... that's all i can say really... also thanks for explaining that song, i never thought about it to be honest.

Thanks for the feedback!

Completely love the way you have shaded this piece of art. simplistic lines yet masterfully applied!
the way you have done the rain is fantastic, i cant really work out what the background is , but the face is amazing

personally i am not keen on how you have created a bold line around the outside.
it creates the illusion of weak lines, for example her left foot on the octopus, the line work seems to be faint and detracts from the form. apart from that slight ni-pick i really love how you did the hair and your red shades for the skin. also that fact this is one of your slightly more anatomically correct girls even if i don't think its possible to force your shoulder out that far it still looks good! love everything you posted. cant wait to see more!

absolutely love your artwork, its stylish, its sleek, bold and beautiful!

its so simplistic yet detailed! easy 9.5/10 from me... but that's mainly because i suck up to this sort of art <3

you show potential, but your perspective is all over the place and there is a lot of things wrong with this i don't know where to start... so lets just talk about the good things...

The hair is nicely portrayed in a stylistic way with good tones (although could use with some deeper shading) and the eyes are nice as well....

if you want to try to improve i highly suggest you come over to the new grounds art forum and start a personal improvement/art thread

Thank you for your input, and I appreciate the advice!

Quality and time spent where needed, overall its another Sabtastic piece of work but not without its minor flaws still, but seen as this is a commission and you cant refine everything i will let it slip :3. 9/10

cant wait for what 2013 brings us in the way of your artwork :D

Sabtastic responds:

Thanks LegolaSS!
Glad to hear from ya! :D

I like this, athough i feel alot more time was spent on the face and not else where.. i think the neck would have been great if the same style of shading was used like the face. just my view

see you space cowboy

Lovely concept, Great mood to this picture, fantastic tones and really loving the lighting. top marks!

Thanks, I appreciate it.

"You cant just stick gears on it and call it steampunk"
the three gears don't seem to do anything, you seem to have gone rather over the top with the same texture, also on the handle the texture doesn't line up (i don't know if it was meant to do that) but it would have been better if it lined up. im not sure about the gold trim on the trigger and thumb thing. also the blade seems unnecessary at it already looks top heavy. think about practical use rather then making it look "cool"

whatthemeh responds:

You've addressed something that was a problem for me, yes, the gears do appear a bit pointless. However this piece was animated so that the gears would operate the revolving barrel at the front (yes the big cylindrical part is indeed another barrel). I hven't really made that clear with the image, and yes, there are a number of issues with how i've preseted this, to be honest I just fished it off my hardrive from a while back and using newgrounds as somewhere to host it for the time being. I may come back to this mind.

I do accept constructive criticism but I feel you are patronising me a tad. This was an enormous effort as I was still learning back then.

Look fab sabs, not going to bore you will "this is awesome" dribble, so. small tweaks, the knee nearest the window, the line finishes a tad early on the knee and there's a few pixels of grey that really subtract from it. possibly a bit higher contrast on the left side of the picture, a tiny bit more focus on the background *the square window* for example looks rather dull. but these are just minor points. another fantastic piece of artwork and you are getting better and better! a strong understanding of colors, hues and shading, cant wait for the next one :D
