Perfect!

i take it you used a photo reference here?

the shades, the colours, the lighting the lense blur and the total combination are all hitting the photo realism mark here... totaly outstanding! well done

looking fab

just one thing thats bothering me... does his fingers do that in real life?

great!

iv seen some of your work and this is just a prime example of it... the tones and colours are very pastel and moddest to the picture giving it an earthy feel while the highlighting on the robot gives it a sence of rusted shine, however i do feel that the angles are out a tad seen as the background is straight on but the robot seems to be viewed from overhead... is it just me?... i really like the smoke/steam and gives it reall depth... nice work and hope to see more in the future...

LaserKarl responds:

Thanks man!

I never thought of the background as seen from a certain angle, i kind of just shaped it up to work good with the robot.

simple and clean

very smooth lines, great linework in all... the shading is very bold (but what else do you get from flash?).. a very bold piece... and the red blood just breaks it up so it stands out more then if it was purply grey tones... however i still think it could have been touched up a bit more... for example... there is lines going into things (her hair and her arm going into her hair) which should really be removed, a small gaps where the shading hasent flood filled all the spaces leaving impuritys... i feel the lack of a even simple background is also bringing the score down on this piece...

love the angle

a very cool angle... the theme is great, the mood of the picture is perfect! the lighting and shadows perfectly placed along with the colours used... its drooling passion... the only thing i could see somewhat wrong is the person (you) in the bed... there doesnt seem to be any sort of shape to the covers to define where the person is (close the the bottom)... but he does seem to be very long in my eyes... i could be highly wrong but thats what i think... other then that point... nothings wrong with it... its FAB! 10/10

Savory responds:

thanks, the sheets do bug me... it's mostly random instead of implying some form. Yeah he's long, and the image is twisted to give it kind of a zoom effect

Best artwork iv seen you do!

this has to be one of the best drawn / coloured and shaded girls iv seen you do... everything looks right and is the right shape size and angle... the colours work perfectly and the shading just tops the triple layered cake!... but for me the hair has got the be one of the things that truely makes it... that amount of care is overwhelming!... i really like the window shadow as well... gives it that added depth... 15/10!... :3

Vortex00 responds:

Thanks! Sometimes I look at it and think the hand should be in front of the hair.

love the flow of movement

each woman has her own personal look, colours and style... you can tell alot about each one just from this picture... the shading it great and very stylish along the with the simple background really makes this great... love it!

saw this in the art fourms...

first of all i would like to say that most of you artwork is trulely fantastic... this however is not one of the bests... her left hand sword isnt straigh / curved as the otherone... (you should be able to see what i mean)... and her eyes are some what strange (could just be me), her arms dont seem long enough and the things coming of her elbows seem cut of... enought of that... the things i like are the shading on the black (seen as this is one of the hardest colours to highlight without making it look grey) and the shading on the blades are spot on!... love the lack of background and the two tone text... would love to see this redone or touched up... :3

love the colours

lots going on... all well presented and thought out... but the thing i love the most is how you have coloured this... its wonderfull!... the blues on the clouds and waves / swirls are perfect... not to mention the amount of detail you must have put into this!... :3
