Fantastic sabs!

Love how you have added in the little details and all the other Pokemon into the picture... normally i would go in-depth about it but i feel you have spent a lot of time and effort on this piece and also know you have :D... hope the guy who gets this pleased, i know i would be :3... Keep up the fab work!

Yayy thanks!!
I KNOW I did good when even LegolaSS doesn't have anything to critique! ;P

i see what your saying

its very hard to make out the green in this picture, im sure it looks alot more impressive in person... really love the depth you have created in this piece, i would have never thought water colour and charcoal would be a good mix but you have proved me wrong, looking forward to more artwork from yourself :3

Just a block colour change.

in all fairness, the reason im giving such a low score is the fact that its just a mono toned color change. and its not done very well either, but like you said this is your first attempt painting something like this... first off, you need to thin your paints a lot more as you can see on the helm there is a lot of rough patches where the paint is bunched. its better to put down multiple layers of thinner paint then one solid block color. also make sure your neat as i can see some gray specks on the white areas. you should be able to scratch them off with your fingernails :3.

but hopefully if you do something like this you will take on board what iv said and improve a lot more. but in my eyes a single color change isn't really impressive. i am sorry for the low score but i feel that was it deserves.

PikaRobo responds:

Well I didn't really know what paint to use, so that's fair. And yes, I've TRIED to scrape of some of the specks, it wouldn't come off. I'm not buying another Castle Crasher so I probably won't try it again though.

One last thing, the reason why it's only one monochromatic color is because it IS the GRAY KNIGHT. Hopefully you knew that already...

Love this simple style

clean, simple and flawless design, loving the curves and lines used... a really nice crisp style. adding the more detailed and complexed flowers is a nice touch to keep it from becoming to simple and to break the image up a little. my only crit is that the hair seems rather bunchy in places *top left of the head* where the line seems to be made of many lines joined together and doesnt flow smoothly. also not sure about the highlights on the face/hair where it seems it should only be on the blond of the hair. but fantastic to see another style of art... 10/10 / faved

As parts they are fantastic...

But put together they dont work... i really like how you do your skin and the tones you use, however i feel that the construction is letting this piece down completely.

Her head seems to be floating over her shoulder?... either that or the shoulder is to small... i think the hand looks odd, but is realisticly done, *took me a while to find the fourth finger* and i can understand why it may seem odd.. but i feel that it is once again to small for her face, background is simple so no problems with it. and her dress lacing seems too straight... i also think her ear is to bright compaired to the tone's used on the skin nearby...

great work, shame it looks odd dude to the possion of everything... 9/10

the thought is there

but its not working for me, i don't know what it is about it, but it feels like its trying to do something its not... it just doesn't seem to fit... you have to few it in full scale to appreciate it in all fairness... but still i feel like there is no physical connection... like she is flying or hovering... also proportions may be out... like i said in my title... i idea is there... but it wasn't created as well as i may have been... hope to see some more work from you in the future... 7.5 / 10

After this review im just going to quit art entirely.
nah jk

great work nekow

pure brilliance, i think enough of what I'm going to say has already been written, love the feeling of movement and feeling of intense combat?... Good luck with the event and hope to see more art from yourself in the future.

nice charter design

you have a good mix of builds here, i really like how you have developed each one, your artwork is always improving ashman, and its good to see you trying more complex things and poses... :3

pure emotion

a wonderful art piece, love the use of the textures/ or textured brush to add detail, the overall details and little things here and there really help make it, the oil tears just add so much more depth and feeling to it... the red hue of the light behind finishes it off nicely, there only one small thing that i dislike, its the claw like objects been rather bulky and just black like the top right one, but that's just me... great entry for the tournament! great job

happy face :)

lovely atmosphere in this picture... it really has a dark feel to it, very nicely done with the use of color in this as well... i like how you have elongated all the limbs of the other creatures, just a few things about the picture itself, i know a chain can do it, but it just seems a bit odd (the one coming of him arm) , the fluid coming out of the tube, possibly have dribbled it out instead of flowing all of a sudden and i cant make out what the dark shape in the background is... but that's just my view points... a good entry piece!
